Final closing of WorxInvest Horizon I at EUR 150 million
WorxInvest Horizon has successfully completed the final closing of its first fund of funds, Horizon I, at a total amount of EUR 150 million. This is significantly higher than initially expected. The fund of funds is managed by WorxInvest Horizon BV and invests in a diversified portfolio of private equity funds. It contributes to investment company WorxInvest’s long-term strategy to drive sustainable value creation.
Diversified strategy and focus on sustainability
Horizon I focuses on buyout and growth capital funds, with a specific focus on small and medium-sized companies in Europe and North America. The underlying funds are carefully selected to ensure both geographical and sectoral diversification. A balanced spread of investments allows WorxInvest Horizon to manage risk and to strive for attractive returns for investors.
The fund of funds meets the Article 8 classification within the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR). This means it invests in funds that promote positive environmental and/or social characteristics and adhere to good governance.
Successful final closing and future ambitions
With this final closing, Horizon I confirms the confidence of both institutional and private investors in the team’s approach and expertise. The selection of funds reflects the fund of fund’s strategic vision and quality standards.
The success of this final closing, and the fact that we have achieved 50% more than initially expected, highlights the strength of our network and our ability to create value through carefully selected private equity investments,” says Mireille Kielemoes, Director of WorxInvest Horizon. “Our investors can count on a disciplined approach, relief services and a strong focus on sustainable growth.”
Filip Dierckx, Executive Chairman at WorxInvest, adds: “The interest in Horizon I shows that investors are increasingly considering private equity as an essential part of a diversified portfolio. We are proud of the achieved results and confidently look forward to further opportunities.
Investing in private equity funds is clearly part of WorxInvest’s long-term strategy. WorxInvest Horizon has the ambition to launch Horizon II in 2026, and WorxInvest will again invest a significant amount itself.
