History
From strong roots to a diversified platform
WorxInvest originates from SD Worx, a leading European provider of HR and payroll solutions with a history dating back to 1945.
Over decades, SD Worx expanded across Europe and built a strong foundation in people solutions.
In 2022, WorxInvest was established as the parent company, marking the transition towards a broader investment strategy.
Since then, the company has evolved into a diversified investment platform, structured around three core strategies: Long-Term Investments, Private Equity and Real Assets.
Worx for society
Creating impact beyond investment
Through Worx for Society, WorxInvest contributes to initiatives that create broader societal value.
The focus lies primarily on:
- Supporting employment opportunities for vulnerable groups
- Promoting entrepreneurship
- Encouraging inclusive participation in the labour market
In partnership with the King Baudouin Foundation, WorxInvest established the Worx Fund, which supports projects aligned with these objectives.
In addition, the group contributes to cultural and social initiatives, both in Belgium and internationally.

Foundation Ownership
WorxInvest is entirely owned by the cooperative society SD Worx for Society, which is in turn held by two private foundations: SD and SD Patrimonium. This foundation-owned structure is designed to ensure stability and enable a direct investment focus.
Our team
Experienced and committed leadership
WorxInvest is led by a multidisciplinary team whose expertise spans strategic leadership, valuation, governance, risk management, finance and private equity.
These profiles do not simply add up, they reinforce one another. Together, they form a well-balanced team capable of assessing opportunities from multiple angles and executing WorxInvest’s long-term strategy with discipline and consistency.
Oversight is provided by a Board of Directors composed of experienced international leaders with backgrounds in private equity, portfolio management, financial institutions and listed companies.
Both the Executive Committee and the Board share a strong alignment with the company’s long-term objectives, supported by meaningful personal investment in the group and a clear culture of ownership.
